    Two Center Roughrider football players signed letters of intent Wednesday, Feb. 7. Lance Wilburn will play for Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches in the fall, and Kaden Dixon will be playing for Northern Arizona.

    According to MaxPreps, running back Dixon’s three-year varsity career rushing credits him with 590 carries for 4,560 yards, and 61 touchdowns. He was the first player to commit to the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, and was honored as a Gridiron Football All-American.

    Wide receiver and free safety Wilburn is ranked in the top 121 in Texas for 1 stat, top 44 in Region III for 1 stat, and top 12 in Division 4A-2 for 1 stat. For the 2023-24 season, he’s credited with 1,006 receiving yards, an average of 20.5 yards per catch, 49 receptions on the season and an average of 91.5 receiving yards per game. He had 14 touchdowns, all receptions.
