Nacogdoches ISD announces new high school principal

NACOGDOCHES, Texas ( KETK ) — On Wednesday, Nacogdoches ISD announced Kevin Croft as their new high school principal.

Croft graduated from Schreiner University in Kerrville where he earned a bachelors and master’s degree. He is also a certified as an English, Language Arts and Reading teacher, NISD said.

“Mr. Croft is going to be a great fit in Nacogdoches, but he’s also going to bring some new and fresh ideas associated with his unique perspective on education, culled from his wide-ranging experience in administration at elementary, middle school and high school campuses,” said NISD Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo. “Mr. Autrey has left a strong foundation in place, and I have no doubt Mr. Croft will be able to expand upon that in the coming years.”

Croft also has a long history in education, serving as an English teacher at George Ranch High School in Richmond. He also served as an assistant principal at George Ranch and Polly Ryon in Middle School before being named principal at the campus in 2018.

“Throughout my career, one principle has remained constant: positive, strong relationships change all outcomes,” Croft said. “I’m looking forward to getting settled in Nacogdoches and tending to the business of continuing the strong success at NHS.”
