Months before new administration takes the helm, FNSB sees chief of staff change
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Fairbanks North Star Borough has a new chief of staff, with the current head administrator Jim Williams moving down to the Lower 48. Williams had been serving in that position for nine years. Former Borough Mayor Karl Kassel first appointed Williams as chief of staff in 2015, and he remained under current Mayor Bryce Ward in that capacity for Ward’s six years in office, helping oversee the implementation of the Capital Improvement Program and carry the borough through the COVID-19 pandemic.

FEMA Grants $108M for Typhoon Damage in Alaska
