Operation C.A.R.E. stands for Crash Awareness Reduction Effort, a national initiative aimed at focusing law enforcement’s attention on traffic violations. This includes speeding, failure to wear seatbelts, impaired/distracted driving, and commercial vehicle enforcement.

Louisville, KY – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of northern and northeastern Kentucky until 7 p.m. today. Several counties in southern Indiana, such as Clark, Floyd, and Harrison, are also under the watch. The advisory warns of potential tornadoes, isolated hail up to quarter size, and scattered wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear is visiting Louisville Friday to tour damage left behind by Thursday's tornado. Beshear will be joined by Mayor Craig Greenberg and Louisville Metro Emergency Services Executive Director Jody Meiman.
