In July 2022, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, formerly a 10-digit phone number, converted to 988 in hopes that a three-digit number would be more accessible to people in distress. Prospect Street resident faces narcotics charges
NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk Police responding to resident complaints arrested a Prospect Street resident Thursday and charged him with selling narcotics, a news release said. NORWALK, Conn. — A NancyOnNorwalk reader asked what is going on at Oyster Shell Park. “The work you see happening now is a tidal wetland improvement project, part of the WALK Bridge Project environmental improvement efforts,” Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) Spokesperson/Communications Manager Josh Morgan said Tuesday. “The Oyster Shell Park tidal wetlands site includes excavation to remove invasive species and constructing a living shoreline. This wetland project includes future plantings, oyster cultch, and a terrapin habitat area. The work is expected to be completed by the end of October.”

NORWALK, Conn. — The Norwalk Health Department and UConn’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program staffs recently held their annual Harvest Ball for families who took part in this year’s “Growing Gardens, Growing Health” program at Fodor Farm. The families got certificates recognizing their cultivation and harvesting of fruits and vegetables on assigned plots under the tutelage of master gardeners and Health Department personnel.
