The Revivalists & The Box: A Bond That Keeps The Band Coming Back To Nantucket
These days The Revivalists shows at The Chicken Box sell out in a matter of seconds. The annual concerts have become a rite of summer for the band and those lucky enough to score a ticket. As The Revivalists prepare for yet another two-night run at The Box this Tuesday and Wednesday, the Current sat down with a few members of the band to ask what keeps them coming back to the island each year even as they tour North America playing venues 10 times the size of the "internationally infamous" dive bar on Dave Street.

Compromise?
To the editor: I read with disbelief the short-term rental (STR) subcommittee recommendation for the special fall ATM. How, after the failure of Article 59 at the May 2024 Annual Town Meeting and three similar articles in the previous three years to give blanket approval for unrestricted STR use that were all soundly shot down by island voters could they come up with Article 59 dressed in disguise, or as one of the proponents called it "a really elegant compromise" .... REALLY?

To the editor: The construction of three large houses plus a cottage on Mariner Way at the gateway to the Old Historic District (OHD) has left most passersby gasping in disbelief. The scale and density are in stark contrast with the area's historic charm. Shockingly, abutters were not notified of...
