    Hagestad wins U.S. Mid-Am at Sankaty

    (Oct. 1 2021) Stewart Hagestad had to survive a furious comeback from Mark Costanza to capture the 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at Sankaty Head Golf Club Friday. Hagestad, of Newport Beach, Calif., had a five-hole lead at the end of play yesterday, which he carried into the final 18 holes today. But Costanza, of Morristown, N.J. slowly chipped away at that lead. After hr drained a 35-foot birdie putt on the 14th hole, he was just onr hole down going into the final four holes. Read more
