INSTALLATION OF BOX CULVERT FOR WAYNE, CARTERN AVENUES TO TAKE PLACE TODAY
PennDOT officials are suggesting drivers find alternate routes to go around the Wayne Avenue bridge replacement project site today. Starting at 7:00 AM today and going until 7:00 tonight, there will be some further modifications to traffic patterns at the construction zone near the KCAC as crews will work on setting a box culvert in place for Marsh Run over Wayne and Carter Avenues. There will be closures of up to five minutes at a time expected as a crane is put in place to install the box culvert sections. This part of the project was originally scheduled to happen last Friday but that was delayed due to unknown reasons.

Rosaline Ann (Cruse) Gualardo, born March 9, 1934 in Altoona, Pa. passed away peacefully at her home in Carolina Shores, N.C. on July 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Versal E. Cruse and Ruth E. (Claar) Cruse, and a brother, Robert Cruse (Mary Zabala). She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph B. Gualardo; daughter, Darcy Ann Tomko (Robert); and son, Samuel Joseph Gualardo (Pamela); grandchildren, Melissa Rose Triplett (Ryan), Matthew Robert Tomko (Desiree), Alexi Rose Neal (Kurt), and Zachary Joseph Gualardo (Dalton); great-grandchildren, Gavin, Makenna Rose, Amelia, Gabriel, Jaxson, Layne, Colson, Baylee Rose and Alaina; brother, Kenneth Cruse (Isabele); nephews, Denny, Shane, Dale; and nieces, Robin and Stacy. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, September 13, at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, 5101 Ocean Highway West, Shallotte, N.C.

I received my paperwork to get my driver’s license picture taken and dreaded going in since four years ago it seemed to take forever. I was very happy to see that is no longer the case. SECOND STRUCTURE FIRE, AUTOMATIC ALARMS REPORTED WEDNESDAY
Along with last night’s fire in Homer City, there were just a few other calls for first responders over the last 24 hours in Indiana County. The only other major call was another reported structure fire along Mahoning Road in Cherry Tree Borough. Cherry Tree, Commodore, and Hope Fire Departments were dispatched at 10:55 PM. Details on that fire have not yet been released.
