WAYMAKERS ROSTER HAS FOUR IUP NAMES
The D2 Waymakers have posted their final roster for the million dollar winner-take-all “The Basketball Tournament”, and it includes four IUP names. Dante Lombardi coaches the team and is listed on the roster, along with Ethan Porterfield, Cobo Diaz, and Armoni Foster. Indiana High and Shippensburg star Carlos Carter is also on the team, which opens play against Auburn on Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky.
Wyatt Maines Commits to Saint Francis
Hollidaysburgs’ star offensive tackle, Wyatt Maines, has committed to Saint Francis University. Maines joins his teammate, Hunter Albright, in SFU’s 2025 recruiting class. Maines is a 6’5″, 265 pound force on both sides of the football. He plays defensive end, along with offensive tackle. His stellar play on the offensive side of the ball has gotten him highly recruited.

The Frontier Club Wagoneers (No. 4 seed) upset the top-seeded Derry Ukes in a 10-8 game Monday, July 15, in the Latrobe-Derry Area Teener League baseball playoffs. Along with last night’s fire in Homer City, there were just a few other calls for first responders over the last 24 hours in Indiana County. The only other major call was another reported structure fire along Mahoning Road in Cherry Tree Borough. Cherry Tree, Commodore, and Hope Fire Departments were dispatched at 10:55 PM.
