HUDSON COUNTY, NJ - The Hudson County Board of Commissioners approved over $8,498,822 in Open Space Trust Grantees for numerous open space acquisitions, park improvements and historic preservation projects throughout Hudson County. Orange County resident Clarence Hulzenga, age 48, of Highland, was arrested in the town of Newburgh on Wednesday, July 10 in Newburgh. According to Lt. Dennis Carpenter of the Newburgh Police, Hulzenga ran from the store after the theft to a pickup truck in the parking lot and, to get away, ran into a town of Newburgh and New York State Police cruisers.

Mayor’s Office And CUNY Invest $6.5M In Restorative Justice For 16 NYC Organizations
Today, the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) and the Institute for State & Local Governance at the City University of New York (CUNY ISLG) announcement. They announced that a landmark investment of $16.5 million dollars in restorative justice (RJ), with $6.5 million going to community-based programming over the next 12 months. The initial funding will support restorative justice work at 16 organizations throughout New York City and reflects Mayor Adams’ commitment to the development of innovative community-based conflict resolution that promotes public safety and makes our neighborhoods safer and more livable.
