    Who won the Collier County School Board elections? Here's the 2024 election results

    Two Collier County School Board incumbents will stay on the board for another four years.

    As of Tuesday night, all local votes had been counted and the School Board District 2 and 4 results were posted, with 61,228 votes cast in the District 2 race and 60,654 votes cast in the District 4 race.

    Here's who won the District 2 and District 4 races for the Collier School Board.

    DISTRICT 2 WINNER: Stephanie Lucarelli

    With 53.9% of the votes, Lucarelli will once again hold the District 2 seat on the Collier County School Board. Her opponent Dr. Pam Cunningham fell behind by 4,808 votes for a total of 46.1% of the votes.

    "We're very excited," Lucarelli said when reached Tuesday night. "I think that this was a big win for the students and families and teachers of Collier County today."

    Lucarelli was celebrating her win with District 4 incumbent and winner, Erick Carter. The two board members were out at New York Pizza and Pasta.

    During her campaign, she told Naples Daily News that these are her top priorities:

    • Increasing literacy and math outcomes
    • Developing a more formal gifted program
    • Opening more avenues for technical training opportunities
    • Helping the district become debt-free by using resources wisely
    • Ensuring teachers are compensated fairly

    DISTRICT 4 WINNER: Erick Carter

    With 56% of the votes, Erick Carter will once again hold the District 4 seat on the Collier County School Board. His opponent Tom Henning fell behind by 7,318 votes for a total of 44% of the vote.

    "It just shows that the citizens of Collier think the School District is on the right track," Carter told the Naples Daily News on Tuesday night. "It's not so much a victory for me and Stephanie, but more for the students and teachers of Collier County."

    During his campaign, he told Naples Daily News that these are his top priorities:

    • Reducing unnecessary spending by establishing quantifiable goals
    • Creating Budget Reducation Committees
    • Building elementary students' reading gains

    About the Collier County School Board

    • The board is comprised of five members that are elected by the entire county. Each member represents one of the five districts and the schools within them.
    • Members serve for four years at a time and make around $48,750 annually.
    • Though candidates can be endorsed by political parties, the actual position is nonpartisan.
