Florida high school football Super 25 rankings: Who's No. 1 in the Week 2 poll?

It took all of one week of the high school football season for chaos to reign in Florida.

And in the fallout of a historic opening week, the USA Today Florida Network has a new No. 1 team.

Lakeland, which went to Miami and knocked off nationally ranked Central 16-8 , narrowly edged out previous No. 1 IMG Academy for the top spot. The Dreadnaughts win was impressive for many reasons, including the offense being without multiple injured starters.

Lakeland received seven of 12 first-place votes from the USA Today Florida Network's media members. IMG, which was stunned 35-34 by nationally ranked Corner Canyon (Utah), received the other five first-place votes.

Week 1 was notable as six of the top 10 teams in the Super 25 — IMG Academy, Chaminade-Madonna, St. Thomas Aquinas, Plantation-American Heritage, Central and Berkeley Prep — all lost.
