Joan Vassos began her search for love as ABC’s very first “Golden Bachelorette" just last week, with Bachelor Nation already falling in love themselves with the lead and her initial 24 suitors.

The second episode continued to bring on the romance, tears and cannonballs as Vassos took 18 contestants on the first dates of the season. The episode also featured quite a bit of the two Florida contestants — Dan from Naples and Gregg from Longboat Key.

Here’s what you missed on the second episode of “The Golden Bachelorette,” including who got roses, who went home and how to stream the show.

Who went home on week 2 of 'The Golden Bachelorette'?

Joan eliminated four men during the first episode of "The Golden Bachelorette." But both of the contestants from Florida, Dan and Gregg, received roses last night and will be moving on to week three.

Here are the men Joan sent home on the first night:

    • Robert “Bob,” 66, a chiropractor from Marina Del Ray, California
    • Christopher, 64, a contractor from West Babylon, New York
    • John “Jack,” 68, a caterer from Chicago
    • Michael, 65, a retired banking CEO from Denver, North Carolina

Here are the remaining ‘Golden Bachelorette’ contestants

Here are the men who will continue to appear on this season of "The Golden Bachelorette":

    • Charles K., 62, a portfolio manager from Rancho Palos Verdes, California
    • Charles L., 66, a retired financial analyst from Philadelphia
    • Charles “Chock,” 60, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas
    • Daniel “Dan,” 64, a private investor from Naples, Florida
    • Gary, 65, a retired finance executive from Palm Desert, California
    • Gil, 60, an educator from Mission Viejo, California

What happened on 'The Golden Bachelorette' week 2? Who got roses, dates?

Both of Florida's contestants, Dan and Gregg, got quite a bit of screen time on last night's episode.

Gregg got some screen time early, when he agreed to do Pascal’s laundry for $100 per load. According to Pascal, he doesn’t know how to do laundry and has a cook at home, so he asked the men who would do his laundry for money and Gregg answered the call.

We also learned early in the episode that Pascal sleeps in the nude and Gregg snores (they’re roommates).

“Great guy – Love (Gregg) man. And I don’t want him to leave because he does my laundry,” Pascal told the camera. “So I like Gregg very much, I love him. But I need complete silence to be able to go to sleep.”

Gregg apparently didn’t know his snoring was so disruptive – probably because he’s asleep when he’s snoring.

“Apparently I’m a snorer, but how would I know? I’m asleep when it happens,” Gregg told the camera. “But it was very startling to wake up to a naked Frenchman punching me. On the other hand, I can’t say that that’s the first time it’s ever happened.”

The first date of the season was a prom group date. Joan and eight of the men (Gary, Bob, Jonathan, Charles L., Mark, Jordan, Guy and Keith) got all dressed up and took a limo to an actual high school gym for a “senior, senior prom.” Jonathan won prom king and the group date rose.

The first one-on-one date went to Chock Chapple, from Wichita, Kansas. They spent the day at Disneyland and followed it up with a date fit for Cinderella herself.

They had dinner at 21 Royal, which is a one-of-a-kind and exclusive Disneyland experience that was “once envisioned by Walt and Lillian Disney as a secluded family retreat and a luxurious oasis in which to host celebrities and dignitaries,” according to its website . They shared an intimate dinner where Chock told Joan about the tragic loss of his late wife, who died quickly after being diagnosed with brain tumors.

After a deep conversation about how the loss of their spouses affected them and their current search for love, they watched the Disneyland firework show over Sleeping Beauty’s castle.

The third and final date of the episode was another group date: a talent show. Both Gregg and Dan were on the date and Gregg went first. He performed a short stand-up routine, which actually got quite a few laughs.

Dan, who seemed anxious to perform due to a hereditary tremor he has, decided to lean into his tremor and do a ribbon dance.

“I’m not nervous – I have a little bit of a tremor,” Dan said. “So when I looked at these I was like ‘this is perfect for my shaky hands.’” He got a round of applause and laughs for his creativity and vulnerability.

Dan won the talent show and extra time with Joan afterward. After the talent show, they went on a one-on-one dinner date. He opened up to Joan about the time when he had a close brush with death.

“I had some health issues in about 2015. I’m diabetic and I just couldn’t get it under control…” Dan told Joan. “At one point, sitting down with my hepatologist, he put his hand on my arm and looked at me and goes ‘I think you have about six months to live.’”

He told Joan that the health scare made him hesitant to date again and that he felt he should be open with her about his medical history. He also said that since that time, everything in life has become more meaningful, deeply appreciated and funnier.

“I am so encouraged to hear that, because that’s what I want from life…” Joan said, as she gave him a rose. “I love how you view life. And (the date) showed me really important things about you that I really like and I want to continue.”

Of course, Dan accepted the rose and at the end of the date, they danced to a string trio playing in a balcony above them.

“Dan and I are dancing and he says ‘we really fit well together,’” Joan said. “I loved hearing that. I felt comfortable in his arms. A future with Dan could look like somebody that’s ready to have an adventure. He embraces life now.”

Instead of a cocktail party before the rose ceremony this week, Joan and the men had a (much more casual) daytime cookout. Dan was safe, since he got a rose after winning the talent show, and Gregg also snagged a rose at the ceremony.

How to watch 'The Golden Bachelorette'

"The Golden Bachelorette" comes on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with the third episode coming out on Oct. 2. Episodes have a 90-minute timeslot, 30 minutes longer than the first season of "The Golden Bachelor."

Episodes of "The Golden Bachelorette" will be available to stream on Hulu the Thursday after they air.

Who is Joan Vassos? Was Joan on ‘The Golden Bachelor’?

"Vassos is from Rockland, Md. She earned her bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, per her LinkedIn bio, she works in alumni relations at the Landon School in her home state and has been in the role since 2021," according to People Magazine.

Vassos wasn't who fans predicted would take the role as the very first "Golden Bachelorette," because she left "The Golden Bachelor" early to be with her daughter, who was experiencing postpartum depression after giving birth.

She and her late husband, John Vassos had four children together and she has two grandchildren. On the first episode last week, Joan spoke fondly and emotionally about her relationship with her late husband, highlighting that although she's ready for love again, no one can take his place.

“Nobody’s going to replace John. He lives in a place in my heart and in my mind that is just his,” Joan said on last week’s premiere. “But I have a big heart, and there is room for somebody else. The feeling of having potential for a future makes me so happy – it makes me so hopeful.”

How old is Joan from 'The Golden Bachelor'?

    Joan is 61-years-old.
