Joan Vassos began her search for love as ABC’s very first “Golden Bachelorette" last month, dwindling 24 contestants down to just 11 suitors.

Last night's episode saw bold declarations of affection through song, tearful realizations and some surprise cameos. Here’s what you missed on the third episode of “The Golden Bachelorette,” including who got roses, who went home and how to stream the show.

Joan eliminated three men during the third episode of "The Golden Bachelorette," including one of the two contestants from Florida.

What happened on 'The Golden Bachelorette' week 3? Who got roses, dates?

Switching things up a bit, this episode consisted of two one-on-one dates and one group date.

The first one-on-one date went to the internet's favorite French man, Pascal. He and Joan took a private plan to Las Vegas, where they goofed off while trying on silly costumes and were serenated by Vegas legend Wayne Newton.

Later on, while eating beside the fake Eiffel Tower, Pascal got more vulnerable and shared his difficult upbringing with Joan. After discussing how he persevered through the challenges of being an immigrant and making a name for himself, he ended up receiving a rose from Joan.

Both Florida men were on the group date, which was a kickball tournament between two teams. Both Gregg and Dan saw little screen time, especially when they lost the tournament and were told they wouldn't attend the date night portion of the group date.

Gregg showed the gnarly cut he got on his knee, after he slid on the ground to avoid getting out. Later in the episode as the men got massages, Dan joked that they were all "pretty banded up."

The second one-on-one date was with Jonathan, and the pair went horseback riding (an activity Joan doesn't really like). The date had some hiccups, beyond Joan's fear of horses, with the Iowa native sharing that packing up his suitcases earlier reminded him of when his wife told him she wanted a divorce.

They both end up sharing their difficulties with this journey and Joan said Jonathan has a calming presence for her. She gave him a rose at the end.

Prior to the cocktail party, there was a montage of Kim asking the other men to join him in performing an original song for Joan. Despite his heartwarming pitch to the guys, almost all of them refuse to sing the song.

When Joan arrives to the mansion later that night, she shares her feeling to the men, saying she misses her family and her 92-year old mother is sick. She admitted this journey has caused her to close herself off a bit, but between her family and still grieving for her late-husband, she wants to be more open about herself.

Joan said she was consoled by not just the men, but a surprise visitor — Gerry from last season. He stopped by the mansion to give her some advice and encouragement, which she seemed grateful for.

And if you're wondering if Kim got to perform his song for Joan, he did. He gave a first-ever live performance of "the Golden Men" with fellow constant Guy. And yes, she still sent him home after that.

"The Golden Bachelorette" airs on ABC on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT. Episodes have a 90-minute timeslot, 30 minutes longer than the first season of "The Golden Bachelor."

Episodes of "The Golden Bachelorette" are available to stream on Hulu the Thursday after they air.

Who is Joan Vassos? Was Joan on ‘The Golden Bachelor’?

"Vassos is from Rockland, Md. She earned her bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, per her LinkedIn bio, she works in alumni relations at the Landon School in her home state and has been in the role since 2021," according to People Magazine.

Vassos, 61, wasn't who fans predicted would take the role as the very first "Golden Bachelorette," because she left "The Golden Bachelor" early to be with her daughter, who was experiencing postpartum depression after giving birth.

She and her late husband, John Vassos had four children together and she has two grandchildren. On the first episode of the show, Joan spoke fondly and emotionally about her relationship with her late husband, highlighting that although she's ready for love again, no one can take his place.

“Nobody’s going to replace John. He lives in a place in my heart and in my mind that is just his,” Joan said on last week’s premiere. “But I have a big heart, and there is room for somebody else. The feeling of having potential for a future makes me so happy – it makes me so hopeful.”

When does Grant Ellis' turn as 'The Bachelor' start?

Grant Ellis, a 30-year old day trader from Texas, was announced as the lead for season 29 of "The Bachelor."

"As the Bachelor, Ellis is eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure, and genuine connections," ABC said in a news release. "He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures."

The 29th season of The Bachelor is expected to premiere in 2025. An exact date has not been revealed.
