Irondequoit police: Parolee jumped into river to evade officers after motorcycle chase
Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after he allegedly led police on a motorcycle chase and tried to swim away from them. Irondequoit police said they were chasing a motorcycle Tuesday night along Lakeshore Boulevard when the operator, Jeremiah Torres, 26, abandoned the bike at the Westage at the Harbor next to the U.S. Coast Guard station and jumped into the Genesee River.
