    Henry common pleas

    Corey Schafer, 33, Napoleon, appeared for sentencing on charges of strangulation, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. He was given a 24-month prison term with credit for 96 days served in jail while his case was pending. A second count of strangulation, a second-degree felony, was dismissed.

    Johnny Edwards, 31, Wauseon, appeared for sentencing on charges of endangering children and inciting to violence, each a first-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on probation for two years, and given 180 days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio with 150 days suspended and credit given for three days served while his case was pending. He also was ordered to complete an assessment at the Center for Child and Family Advocacy and follow recommendations.

    Israel Ramos , 46, Holgate, pleaded guilty to strangulation, a third-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for April 17.

    Collin Bishop, 35, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to inducing panic, a third-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor; and telecommunications harassment, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 29 and bond was set at $300,000.

    Adam Couts, 50, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty three charges of rape, first-degree felonies; and three charges of sexual battery, third-degree felonies. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 3 and bond was set at $100,000.

    Sarah Dunning, 34, Swanton, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 17 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Derek Heckler, 23, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to extortion, a third-degree felony; trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony; violation of a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor; and two counts of sexual battery, each a third-degree felony. He was given a personal-recognizance bond and a jury trial was scheduled for March 21.

    Julian Hinojosa, 28, Holgate, pleaded not guilty to disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 17 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Kage Seals, 26, Liberty Center, pleaded not guilty to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony; and two counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, each a first-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 17 and bond was set at $300,000.

    Jason Shank, 43, Liberty Center, pleaded not guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony; strangulation, a third-degree felony; and disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for March 27 and bond was set at $350,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

    Alicia Sutton, 28, Wauseon, pleaded not guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony; and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 10 and bond was set at $100,000.

    James Thomas, 44, Bryan, pleaded not guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor; and tampering with evidence, a third-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was set for March 27 and bond was set at $100,000.

    Kenneth Walker, 40, Toledo, pleaded not guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony; misuse of credit cards, a first-degree misdemeanor; grand theft, a third-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 17 and bond was set at $150,000 with a 10% allowance provision.
