    Henry common pleas

    Joseph Breece, 50, Deshler, appeared for sentencing on charges of strangulation, a third-degree felony; and endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was placed on community control for two years with conditions, including that he obtain an assessment from the Center for Child and Family Advocacy, and follow treatment recommendations.

    Montize Carter, 27, Napoleon, appeared for sentencing on a charge of falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was fined $150 and given 180 days in jail with credit for 165 days served while his case was pending.

    Dixie Degler, 37, Napoleon, appeared for sentencing on a charge of failure to register, a fourth-degree felony. She was placed on community control for two years with conditions, including that she complete recommended counseling and treatment.

    Samantha Fox, 39, Houston, Ala., appeared for sentencing on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. She was placed on community control for two years with conditions, including that she complete a substance abuse assessment and any recommended counseling and treatment.

    Maggie Groh, 25, Grover Hill, appeared for sentencing on charges of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor. She was placed on community control for two years with conditions, including that she continue treatment with Westwood Behavioral Healthcare.

    Jason Shank, 43, Liberty Center, appeared for sentencing on charges of disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; and strangulation, a fifth-degree felony. He was placed on community control for two years with conditions, including that he complete the treatment program at Ohio Guidestone and have no contact with the victim.

    Sean Miller, 44, Liberty Center, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering with a specification, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 25.

    Jeremy Moden, 46, Archbold, pleaded guilty to OVI, a fourth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 26.

    Jared Bauman, 38, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for June 4 and his bond was continued.

    Kaden Bergstedt, 19, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Tony Byrd Jr., 41, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Ethan Dunakin, 30, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to violating a protection order, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and bond was set at $10,000.

    Nathan Ekstrand, 38, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and bond was set at $40,000.

    Jesse Foster, 18, Liberty Center, pleaded not guilty to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for June 25 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Devon Jackson, 27, Philadelphia, Pa., entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity on charges of robbery, a second-degree felony; strangulation, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. Bond was set at $150,000 with a 10% allowance provision. He will be evaluated for his competency to stand trial.

    Kayla Massey, 28, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to aggravated menacing, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for May 29 and her bond was continued.

    KC Moser, 32, Deshler, pleaded not guilty to an arson registration violation, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for May 28 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

    Frederick Pietsch, 45, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to domestic violence, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was set for June 25 and he was granted a personal-recognizance bond with electronic monitoring.

    James Thomas, 44, Bryan, pleaded not guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a third-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled and bond was set at $25,000.
