Herd of 100 Indian elephants taking up residence at multiple locations in Newport
A herd of 100 Indian elephants is taking up residence along the Cliff Walk as The Great Elephant Migration kicks off on July 4th for the summer. Each elephant in the herd has been meticulously crafted by The Coexistence Collective, a community of 200 indigenous Indian artisans from the Bettakurumba, Paniya, Kattunayakan and Soliga tribes in India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
