A man is dead after he was pulled from the water Friday in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Fire officials tell NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR that they responded around 1:24 p.m. to a report of a man in the pond near a residence on 24 East Shore Road near the Block Island Ferry Dock.
Bus driver, monitors fired after 4-year-old left inside bus in North Kingstown, RI
A 4-year-old child was left inside a bus unattended in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, last Tuesday, and the bus driver and monitors have been fired as a result. Police say the boy is enrolled in the extended school year program and was unintentionally left in a minibus, transported back to the bus yard and left inside as the driver and monitors left, NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR reports.

On August 17, 1974, Newport became a canvas for a revolutionary exhibition that redefined outdoor sculpture. Woman killed in Fall River pedestrian crash remembered as giving woman of God as services announced
A 67-year-old Dartmouth woman killed after being struck by a box truck on Joseph Drive in Fall River is being remembered as services have been announced. According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at around noon on Wednesday, two victims, the driver of the box truck, and three others were at 214 Joseph Drive to pick up a dresser. The six individuals were all employees or volunteers for the non-profit organization known as My Brother’s Keeper, which organizes drop offs and pick-ups of donated furniture.
