Filip Forsberg has been lights out for the Nashville Predators this season and his play has been elevated even higher during the team's 17-game point streak. During that span, he has 14 goals and 25 points, is a plus-14, and has a 19.4 shooting percentage. These very impressive numbers are just the tip of what Forsberg has been able to accomplish this season.

As we approach the end of the 2023-24 regular season, Forsberg has had a very positive season in many facets as he has a good chance of reaching career highs in seven different stats.

Since he is the go-to point-getter among the forwards, Forsberg is expected to produce offensively. That is exactly what he has done and with 11 games remaining for the Predators, the leading scorer is three goals and three assists away from his career high in each. He sits at 39 goals and 39 assists for 78 points in 71 games, which also has him six back of his career high in points. All three were accomplished two seasons ago in 2021-22 when he scored 42 goals, 42 assists, and finished with 84 points. What is very impressive is that those feats were recorded in just 69 games.

That only covers three of the seven career highs that Forsberg is approaching this season with a good chance of reaching. Sticking with offensive production, he is also very close to surpassing his career high in even-strength goals and power-play assists. The 29-year-old has scored 31 even-strength goals, one off his career high from 2021-22 as well. And what do you know, Forsberg is also chasing his career high in power-play assists from that same season. He also sits one back with 16.

The next stat that Forsberg is close to is plus/minus. His best season came in 2017-18 when he was a +27. The winger currently sits at +20, but this recent point streak indicates that +7 isn't a stretch at all. In Forsberg's last five games, he is a +8. In his last 13 games, he is a +14. Nashville might not finish the season earning a point in each game, but the top line where Forsberg plays has been great regardless all season, outperforming the opposition.

The seventh career high that Forsberg could very well reach is penalty minutes. This isn't something to brag about, but then again he did add five minutes to his total this season with a fight against Moritz Seider in Forsberg's first tilt in four years. His career high in penalty minutes is 47, set in 2015-16, his second season in the NHL. With 41 in 2023-24 through 71 games, he is on pace for a bit over 47, so he could very well reach it.

Forsberg has been amazing for the Predators this season and is a huge part in why the team has completely blown away expectations.
