The Nashville Predators are on a path to clinch a playoff spot this season and last week played a big part in getting them closer to their goal. In what was expected to be a tough week for the team with their opponents (Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils) all still having something to play for, the Predators fought hard and Juuse Saros was especially impressive.
Saros' performance in the three games he started earned him recognition from the NHL in that he was the goalie of the week in terms of goals against average (GAA). The Predators earned two of three wins in his starts and he allowed just seven goals.

More impressively, Saros managed to post a .932 SV% on the week, finishing with .935 SV% in the loss to the Bruins, a .936 SV% in the win over the Blues, and a .920 SV% in the shootout win over the Devils on Sunday.
The other three goalies to end the week close behind Saros in terms of GAA were Alex Lyon, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, and Alex Nedeljkovic, all goaltenders who are getting the majority of starts for their teams fighting for playoff spots in the East.
Saros' value to the Predators cannot be overstated in that they wouldn't be anywhere close to the level they've been at this season without him.
