The Nashville Predators had every opportunity to win Game 4 at home and tie the series against the Vancouver Canucks, but couldn't close the game out and allowed the Canucks to make history in the process of their massive comeback.

The Predators were up by two goals with less than three minutes to go in the game and Brock Boeser completed his hat trick with two goals while the Canucks' goalie was pulled. As heard on the broadcast after the game finished, this marked only the eighth time in NHL history that a team erased a two goal deficit with under three minutes to go and win in overtime.

    Postgame: Andrew Brunette (6:56)

After Boeser and the Canucks pulled within one goal, Colton Sissons had a great chance at the empty net with 1:50 to go in the game and hit the post. While he should've scored, he was on his backhand. If he had put the puck in the back of the net, the game would have been pretty much out of reach and the series would be tied.

Now the Predators head back on the road down 3-1 in the series with just a glimmer of hope left in their impressive season.

The Canucks have gotten the better of the Predators all season and missing the empty net when the Predators should've gone up 4-2 in the game just sums up the struggles to produce offensively in the series for Nashville. If the Predators can't come back and win three straight, lack of scoring will be a big reason why. 10 goals in four games is not good enough unless the team's goaltender is playing lights out.
