A couple of weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Tennessee 4-H Congress, with fellow Monroe County 4-Hers Tanner Ivens and Jackson Plemons.

For those of you unfamiliar, Tennessee 4-H Congress is an event conducted by UT Extension and Tennessee 4-H in which senior level (9th-10th grade) 4-H students are able to participate in mock delegations on both the House and Senate floors, visit with their area’s state senators and representatives, hold elections for positions in the 4-H program, and compete in several competitions, as well as, of course, meet new and interesting people from all over the state.
