Just shy of one month after Morgan Wallen was arrested for throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church ’s bar in Nashville, a new sign went up that will commemorate the incident forever.

On the morning of May 3 — the same day as Wallen’s first scheduled court hearing — a plaque was installed on Chief’s rooftop bar that read, “Don’t even think about it, you are not Morgan Wallen.” The message of course eluding to Wallen hurling a chair from the 6th story rooftop that landed just feet away from officers patrolling below.

With no one injured in the incident, the bar has clearly taken the opportunity to poke some fun by installing the plaque and also previously changing the message of the bar’s marquee to read, "Our pigs fly, our chairs don’t.”

While most have taken a light-hearted approach to Wallen’s antics, it’s not all fun and games. He was taken into custody on April 7 following the incident that resulted in brief jail time for the 30-year-old who was released on a $15,250 bond hours after his booking. Wallen waived his right to appear in court for his first hearing which took place the same day he had one of multiple shows at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium. His next hearing is scheduled for August and it is reported he will appear in court.

Wallen spoke out publicly about the incident two weeks after it happened with a post on social media. After being charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, Wallen shared he took the 12 days after his arrest to apologize directly to those affected by his actions.

“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” Wallen said in the first of two statements. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility…. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe.”

Wallen is also making progress on his own bar in downtown Nashville. Signs for Morgan Wallen 's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen — located at 107 4th Avenue South — recently went up and has fans excited for 30,000 square foot venue, that will house three live music stages, six bars, an open-air rooftop and of course, a Morgan Wallen gift shop. While no specific opening date has been set, Wallen has teased it will open Memorial Day Weekend.
