Alan Jackson To Be Honored At 2024 Nashville Songwriters Awards With Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award

Country music icon Alan Jackson taking home some more hardware. It should come as no surprise that the 65-year-old living legend is getting recognized for his incomparable contributions to the country music genre. With over 21 albums and countless number one hits, Jackson is one of the most successful and best-selling artists in the history of music. The singer-songwriter brought songs like "Good Time," "Livin' On Love," and most importantly "Chattahoochee" to life, and in my humble opinion, he should deserve some type of award on a daily basis just for those three songs. When it comes to crafting a song, there might not be a country artist out there better at doing so than Alan. That's why he's being recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) at their upcoming award show. The NSAI just announced the return of the award show, and along with that reveal came the news that Buddy Cannon and Alan Jackson will be honored during the proceedings. On September 24, 2024, Jackson will be at the historic Ryman Auditorium to accept the 7th annual Nashville Songwriters Association's most prestigious honor - the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award. This Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award will add to the impressive list of accolades that Alan Jackson has collected over the years. Back in 2012, the "I'll Try" singer was awarded the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the CMA's, and in 2017, he was finally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Additionally, he's taken home a number of awards from the CMA, ACM, and AMAs. Jackson has also been nominated for Grammy Awards 20 times, and has won twice. Needless to say, if he's got a trophy room somewhere, he's going to have to make some room for his newest addition come September.
