Steven Stamkos' time with the Tampa Bay Lightning has officially come to an end. The longtime Lightning captain has signed a four-year, $32 million contract to join the Nashville Predators.

The Predators were heavily linked to Stamkos leading up to noon, and now they are officially the team to land him. He will be a massive addition to their top six, whether he plays down the middle or on the wing.

Stamkos, 34, appeared in 79 games last season with the Lightning, posting 40 goals and 81 points. Overall, it was another big year from the 2008 first-overall pick, and he will now look to replicate it with the Predators next season.

In 1,082 career games with the Lightning over 16 seasons, Stamkos had 555 goals, 1,137 points, and a plus-46 rating. He also, of course, captained the Bolts to two Stanley Cups.
