Toddler dies in pool at Antioch apartment complex

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) — A toddler died in a pool at an Antioch apartment complex Thursday night.

Rescue crews were called to the Magnolia Apartment complex on Arbor Knoll Boulevard around 7 p.m.

Metro police reported a 4-year-old girl jumped into the pool and an unknown boy jumped in to pull her out. That boy left the scene before officers arrived.

Residents called 911 and dispatchers walked through CPR over the phone and when officers arrived, people were still performing CPR.

NFD medics then took over and took the patient to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt where she was pronounced dead.

No additional information was immediately released.
