NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Celebrate Independence Day with one of the largest fireworks shows in the country with Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4 ^th .

It’s not just fireworks, 2024 marks the first time Nashville is using drones for the annual July 4th event. A total of 400 drones have been added to the show .

An estimated 40,000 pounds of explosives, with shells as large as 8 inches, and 200 miles of wire will be used to light the skies over Nashville this year.

Twenty technicians from Pyro Shows have been setting up Nashville’s 4th of July fireworks show for the last 10 days.

Firework and drone planners said everything will be coordinated and cued to the live music from the Nashville Symphony.

In case you are heading to downtown Nashville – the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge and the Woodland Street Bridge will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians by 8 p.m. at the latest. They will reopen following the event at the discretion of Metro Nashville Police Department.

Last year, the Fourth of July in Nashville brought an estimated 250,000 people to the event, generating $11.6 million in direct visitor spending.
