Man shot to death outside La Hispana Bakery in Nashville

Metro Police are investigating a deadly shooting outside of a West Nashville Bakery on Friday evening.

Jorge Noel Cruz-Garcia was shot several times and killed on his way out of La Hispana Bakery on Charlotte Pike in what investigators are calling a targeted murder.

Police say Cruz-Garcia went into the bakery, and when he came out, four gunman got out of a dark sedan with a temporary tag and began shooting at him and his truck. He attempted to run across the street and collapsed on Charlotte Pike. The gunmen then got back in their vehicle, drove towards him, and shot him several more times.

He was transported to Vanderbilt where he was pronounced dead.
