'Bougie barbecue' steals the show on Netflix
A Netflix cooking competition has sparked new opportunities for a Nashville chef and her barbecue food truck.
Nashville chef Shaticka Robinson took home the gold in season three of Netflix's "Barbecue Showdown," which was recently released on streaming following the January competition filming.
She brought back $50,000, a new smoker, and an invigorated passion for her food truck: Coley’s Jook Junt.
Robinson jumped into the food scene for herself in 2020 while friends were mourning the loss of dining out with friends post-pandemic. Hadley Hitson has more on how she grew from an at-home catering business in Hendersonville to a popular food truck, and where she plans to expand next as she takes her business full time.
