    The weekend shooting at a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania sent shockwaves across the country, including here at home in Tennessee.

    Here's how local figures have responded to the assassination attempt, which happened just on the heels of the Republican National Convention. That kicks off today in Milwaukee.

    🗳️ Politics: A total of 14,375 registered Tennessee voters received letters requesting proof of citizenship from the Division of Elections in June, weeks ahead of the Aug. 1 primary.
