    Nashville Humane Association battling broken A/C amid heatwave: Here’s how you can help

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Humane Association is asking for the community’s help after the building’s air conditioning system stopped working properly Tuesday morning.

    According to the association, staff is doing everything they can to keep the animals cool, but the system won’t be fixed until later this week.

    As temperatures continues rise, NHA is asking folks to help them out in two ways: foster and adopt.

    Nashville Humane Association is located at 213 Oceola Avenue and can be reached via phone at 615-352-1010 . They are open until 5 p.m.

    The air conditioning mishap comes days after Nashville hit 100° for the first time in 2024, and as “feels-like” temperatures peak up to 110° in the afternoons.

    According to News 2’s meteorologists, the heat trend will continue on Tuesday with a Heat Advisory in effec t for most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
