The Tennessee Titans made some moves this offseason to ensure their rebuild heads in the right direction in 2024. For them to reach that level, they will need quarterback Will Levis to take that next step in his development.

A second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Will Levis was thrust into the lineup after Ryan Tannehill suffered an injury. He ended up making nine starts during his rookie campaign.

In his first career start against the Atlanta Falcons, he made quite the impression. Will Levis completed 19-of-29 attempts for 238 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-23 victory.

Unfortunately, Will Levis was unable to get close to that level of production in a game again. In his final eight starts of the season, he threw only four touchdown passes in total with four interceptions.

Of course, the circumstances he was working with weren’t great. The Tennessee Titans had a poorly performing offensive line and the team was lacking explosive weapons for him to rely on.

This offseason, the front office made a concerted effort to improve the supporting cast around Will Levis. As a result, he is one of the AFC quarterbacks under the most pressure to perform in 2024 according to Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports .

“This offseason, Tennessee hired the offensive-minded Brian Callahan, who has coached several notable quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning , Matthew Stafford and Burrow.

While general manager Ran Carthon found three new starters on the offensive line, spent big money on free-agent wideout Calvin Ridley and brought in slot master Tyler Boyd to pair with veteran pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins .

The Titans now have one of the best WR trios in the entire NFL , and the table is set for Levis to prove himself as the franchise quarterback. Will he?

Last year, the rookie averaged an NFL-high 10.3 air yards per attempt, but also had an NFL-low 58% completion percentage,” Dajani wrote.

There is no denying some of the tools that Will Levis has to work with. He has incredible arm talent and athleticism to make plays outside of the pocket.

But, as Dajani noted, there are some parts of his game that need refinement. The Tennessee Titans are hoping the improved roster around him will help raise his level of play.

After having one of the least intimidating skill position groups in the NFL, the Tennessee Titans are now deep across the board. Along with the additions at wide receiver, the team also signed running back Tony Pollard.
