Derrick Henry leaving the Tennessee Titans for the Baltimore Ravens in free agency this offseason was bittersweet for fans. On one hand, they hope to see The King win the Super Bowl that alluded him in Nashville, but on the other hand they'll have to see the hated Ravens win the Big Game for him to get one.

This has sparked a debate on social media about fans' allegiance, with beat writer Paul Kuharsky saying those who root for Henry to do well aren't true Titans fans because they are also rooting for the Ravens to do well.

"If you root for Derrick Henry to the extent that you want the Ravens to win so much as a game, you are not the Titans' fan you think you are. Period." Kuharsky wrote . "Not up for debate.

"If they are on the goal line at the end of a game they are trailing by 4, and you want him to score, you are not the TEN fan you think you are."

A few hours later, Henry caught wind of Kuharsky's tweet and wasn't having it, telling Kuharsky to "go find something to do."

The fact of the matter is, there's nothing wrong with cheering on Henry to win a ring after all he did for the franchise, as long as his and the Ravens' success doesn't come at the expense of the Titans, of course.

After all, you're cheering for the player himself, not the actual team. Besides, Titans fans sitting our their couch cheering The King on won't change the outcome of a Ravens game or their 2024 fortunes by one iota.
