    Man shot at while driving on I-24, police say

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating after a man was shot at while driving along Interstate 24 Saturday morning.

    According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), officers were called to a gas station in the 300 block of Harding Place just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, to respond to reports of a shooting.

    When officers arrived, they located a 32-year-old man who allegedly told them that his car was shot at between the Briley Parkway and Harding Place exits on I-24.

    He reportedly told officers that he was at LinQ nightclub on Lafayette Street, but left after he saw people he didn’t get along with.

    After leaving the nightclub, the man reportedly got onto I-24 and was shot at, which left him injured.

    Authorities said after the shooting, the man got off I-24 and pulled into a gas station on Harding Place to report the incident.

    According to MNPD, he was taken a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

    It remains unclear what led to the shots being fired or if any suspects were taken into custody.

    No other information about the incident was immediately released.
