NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The new Nissan Stadium is still years away from opening up, but Tennessee Titans fans can watch the progress in real time during working hours through a new camera feed.

The Titans have installed a new camera that overlooks the construction site along the Cumberland River, allowing fans to see crews hard at work preparing the site and eventually constructing the new multipurpose stadium.

Site work has been underway since crews broke ground in February . Since then, approximately 400,000 cubic yards of soil have been excavated for the project; excavation work is scheduled to conclude this week, according to the Titans. Most soil will be exported off-site, but some will remain behind for other use during the project, the team said in a release.

During construction, crews will be drilling 767 piers into the ground that will support the building’s infrastructure. So far, crews have installed more than 500 of them, according to the Titans.

Other projects currently ongoing include the installation of a 22-foot-tall Soil Nail Earth Retention System wall that will support the stadium’s loading dock, a water cistern tank that will collect nearly 100,000 gallons of rainwater and supports the building’s sustainability efforts, concrete deck pours for some of the building’s concourse, and foundation pits for vertical transportation the Titans said.

The live camera feed can be found online at TennesseeTitans.com/NewStadium . The camera will be live during typical site working hours, according to the team.
