NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man accused of sexually abusing a minor was arrested one day after being added to Nashville’s “Most Wanted” list .

Kendrick Horton , 25, was wanted on outstanding warrants for rape and solicitation of a minor after being indicted by a grand jury in March. The indictment states that Horton had contact with the victim for several years.

When the alleged abuse began in December 2018, the victim was just 12 years old. Between July 2021 and December 2022, authorities said Horton used “oral, written or electronic communication” to solicit acts by the minor that, if completed, would constitute rape.

He is believed to have used “force or coercion” to rape the victim until at least December 2022. Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) began searching for Horton following the grand jury indictment.

As the search continued, Horton was added to the police department’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list, which officials said is typically reserved for the city’s “most violent” offenders. A day later, on Thursday, July 18, Horton was behind bars.

He is being held in lieu of a $300,000 bond, and as of Monday, July 22, remains in custody. Horton is now among at least 123 “Most Wanted” fugitives who have been arrested since the program was launched in October 2022.

Investigators have largely attributed the program’s success to tips they’ve received from the public. To see the most recent list of “Most Wanted” fugitives out of Nashville, click here .
