Nashville Fire Department’s BLAZE Mentoring Program and the Nashville Fire Department will host a Back-to-School Giveaway event this Friday, July 26th from 3pm – 6pm at the NFD Headquarters.

This event is open to the public, and youth and families are invited to join for a few hours of fun, excitement, and community engagement.

As result of the generous support main sponsor, First Responders Children’s Foundation, free backpacks filled with school supplies will be given away to help youth start the school year off right.

Local Target stores have provided items for students to take as giveaways, and supplied snacks for the event. Chick-Fil-A Nashville (Church Street) is providing food for attendees, and Box 55 is providing drinks to keep everyone hydrated throughout the event.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for families and young students to gather, connect, and celebrate the upcoming school year. Attendees can look forward to special appearances by the Tennessee Titans’ T-Rac and the Nashville Soccer Club’s Tempo. They will be providing entertainment and photo opportunities for children and families alike.

Please note that children must be present to receive a backpack. This ensures that our resources are directed to the students who need them most. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Date: July 26, 2024

    Time: 3pm to 6pm

Location: 63 Hermitage Ave; Tent in the parking lot

Admission: Free and open to the public
