Miranda Lambert has just dropped a catchy and hard-hitting new song titled “Alimony,” which dives into the tumultuous waters of divorce and the sting of infidelity.

Fans can’t help but raise their eyebrows at the timing of this release, especially since Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin , was reportedly spotted last month getting a bit too friendly with several women at a Nashville bar.

Is Miranda Lambert's New Song 'Alimony' About Her Husband's Alleged Cheating Scandal? Here's Why Fans Think So

Fan-shot videos seemingly showing McLoughlin, 32, dancing closely with other ladies at Casa Rosa made a brief appearance on TikTok before they mysteriously vanished. Lambert's latest tune off her upcoming record, Postcards From Texas, tells the story of a woman ready to leave her husband and fight for alimony. As she notably sings on "Alimony:"

"Just know as soon as you get caught / They’ll all be good as mine." The Grammy winner, 40, also croons: "I called that lawyer up in Dallas, the one who’s livin’ in that palace / So I know he’s good at winnin’, if you think there’s somethin’ that you’re missin."

In a new interview, Lambert opened up about her inspirations behind her latest release. "Everybody loves a shuffle," she told People .

The "Gunpowder & Lead" singer added: "My parents were private investigators in Dallas, Texas who worked a ton of divorce cases in highfalutin' parts of town, so this wasn’t hard to write." "I’d heard about it my whole life. We used every Texas metaphor we could come up with on purpose; we wanted to take something kind of sh—ty and put some humor back in it."

The "House That Built Me" hitmaker continued: "I mean, the guy gets out pretty easy if all he does is move back in with his mom."

"Alimony" is the eighth song off Lambert's upcoming 14-track record, Postcards From Texas , out September 13th. She also recently released "Wranglers," her tenth studio album's sixth track and lead single.

Lambert's new music comes after a headline-making episode involving her husband, McLoughlin . Back in June, McLoughlin was seen getting a bit too close for comfort with several women at Casa Rosa, Lambert's own bar in Nashville.

Although the videos of the incident were swiftly removed from TikTok, The U.S. Sun managed to secure footage captured by a bar patron.

In the clips, McLoughlin was caught in a cozy tête-à-tête with one woman while dancing up a storm with another. To top it off, one of the women was even spotted tenderly stroking his face.

As one source dished to the outlet: "It was hours of him acting like this." After the video made its rounds, one of the women involved decided to spill the tea to InTouch. "We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance," she reportedly noted.

"Somehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I'm not sure how that was initiated or happened." She also noted that Lambert's retired police officer husband (whom she married in 2019) was "friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way."

The insider continued: "He was not flirty." She observed that the only reason they were huddled so closely was because the bar's music was blaring.

The tipster added: "I'm not sure why I put my hands on his face — I just have a tendency to do that at times without even realizing. I am responsible for how that may have appeared to the outside world." Lambert and McLoughlin have yet to directly respond to this.
