    BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville is excited to announce the signing of K. Michelle. Her groundbreaking career has transcended genre boundaries and garnered a global fanbase through various mediums.

    The record company made the exciting announcement on July 29, a spokesperson for K. Michelle told MADAMENOIRE.

    “When we first met K. Michelle, her passion for country music was undeniable. It’s an integral part of her identity because the lyrics represent truth. She’s built an incredible fanbase with her unique vocals and heartfelt storytelling, which transcends genres,” says Katie Kerkhover, VP of A&R at BMG.

    “I have been ready. I am grateful for this moment,” shares K. Michelle. “Rebels and Real Outlawz, it’s time! I am excited and want to thank my BMG Team. I am happy to sing the music I grew up on finally. I am a country girl at heart and can’t wait to share my country music with you.”

    Praised as “real,” “brave,” and “rebellious,” K. Michelle’s 2013 album “Rebellious Soul” resonated with fellow rebels, offering cathartic musical refuge. Her indomitable spirit and innate talent have captivated fans throughout her diverse career. Her candidness has become a trademark, providing listeners with a relatable and safe space.

    To the delight of her over 10 million social media followers, the Memphis, Tenn. native announced that her sixth album, “I’m The Problem,” released last year, would be her final R&B record as she prepares to release a country project. True to her style, K. Michelle gave fans a preview with the bonus track “Tennessee” and introduced her alter-ego, PUDDIN, a childhood nickname. Raised in a household where Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston were played alongside The Judds and Lee Ann Womack, K. Michelle showcased her Volunteer State roots by earning a music scholarship to Florida A&M University with a yodeling audition.

    In a full-circle moment, K. Michelle was featured on the acclaimed “A Tribute To The Judds” in 2023, singing “Love Can Build A Bridge” alongside Jelly Roll and Fisk Jubilee Singers and performing the song live at “The 57th Annual CMA Awards” on ABC. In June, she returned to Nashville’s CMA Fest for the second time, performing on the Chevy Vibes Stage and making her Nissan Stadium debut.

    Returning to her rock and country roots in Memphis, K. Michelle at her rendition of the late, legendary Tina Turner’s “Nutbush City Limits” in June.
