It appears the parent of Bally Sports, which carries Nashville Predators games, and Comcast have made up.

On Monday, the two sides announced they had reached an agreement on a new carriage deal, three months after Comcast shut down broadcasts of Bally's regional sports networks.

Xfinity, which is owned by Comcast, pulled the plug on Bally's Sports South on April 30 after failing to reach a carriage agreement with Diamond Sports Group, which owns the networks. The move affected MLB, NHL and NBA markets, including Middle Tennessee.

That night on Bally Sports South, the broadcast of the Nashville Predators' playoff game against the Vancouver Canucks was interrupted and taken off the air at 11 p.m. CT while Xfinity subscribers were watching what ended up being a 2-1 Predators win.

    Comcast is Bally's third-largest distributer.

Diamond Sports/Bally's is working on finalizing an agreement with the NHL. They are still in negotiations with the NBA. The plan is to make the regional networks available on Aug. 1. Subscribers also will be able to stream content on the Bally Sports app.

“Entering a new carriage agreement with Comcast . . . is a critical step forward in our restructuring effort, and we are pleased that fans will again be able to access broadcasts of their local teams through Xfinity," David Preschlack, CEO of Diamond Sports Group, said in a statement Monday. "We are mindful that time is of the essence with basketball and hockey seasons fast approaching, and once agreements with our team and league partners are complete we intend to move expeditiously to present a plan of reorganization to the court.”

In January, Amazon agreed to acquire a minority stake in Diamond Sports Group as part of a restructure to help it emerge from bankruptcy. A bankruptcy hearing scheduled for this week was postponed as a result of the agreement.

“We appreciate Diamond Sports working with us to reach a solution that returns the Bally Sports RSNs to our Ultimate TV customers in a way that reflects the changing video marketplace for local sports,” Comcast president of content acquisition Greg Rigdon said in a statement.
