The Hockey News' Emma Lingan talks Nashville Predators with Jeremy K. Gover of AP-Radio on the It's All Your Fault podcast.

This week's episode features a conversation with Dan Hinote, who served as an assistant coach with the Predators for the past four seasons. Nashville opted not to renew Hinote's contract this summer, prompting him to accept a new position as an associate head coach with the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles.

While the transition marks a new beginning for Hinote, it's also a homecoming of sorts. The Eagles are the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, where Hinote played his first six NHL seasons and won a Stanley Cup in 2001.

As his time in Nashville comes to an end, Hinote reflects on the following questions:

    • What makes the opportunity with the Colorado Eagles so appealing?
    • Are there any nerves about starting in a new role?
    • Why did he allow himself to be candid and honest during in-game interviews while he was with the Predators?
    • What does he think about the Predators' free-agent signings this summer?
    • Is there a player who stands out to him on the current Nashville roster?
    • How much has Predators general manager Barry Trotz been a mentor?
    • What are his thoughts on Predators head coach Andrew Brunette's impact on the team?
