Gwen Stefani’s Son Zuma Made a Bold Move That Shows How Close He Is With Stepdad Blake Shelton

It was a big night for Gwen Stefani and ex Gavin Rossdale’s son Zuma on Monday. He hit a huge milestone with the help of his stepdad Blake Shelton, and it proves how strong their bond is.

The teen made his country music debut at Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Nashville, Tennessee last night, per fan videos of the moment shared by Entertainment Tonight. Zuma looked the part in a cowboy hat, jeans, and boots, where he played guitar and sang next to Shelton, who sat on a stool nearby and watched him play.

Of course, Zuma’s parents are both musicians, so his talent comes naturally. But the fact that he is dressed up like a cowboy and playing country music — that’s clearly from the influence of Shelton, through and through.

The “God’s Country” singer opened up about being a stepdad to Stefani and Rossdale’s kids Zuma, Kingston, 17, and Apollo, 10, in an April interview with Entertainment Tonight . “I get to teach them the country, you know, and I love that,” Shelton said. “Whether it’s music, whether it’s literally getting out, getting their hands in the dirt or being out on the ranch, seeing the animals, whatever, you know? I absolutely love being the person that gets to introduce them to that stuff.”

And Zuma isn’t the only kid with musical talent. The No Doubt singer gushed about her son Kingston’s skills in a February interview with Jimmy Kimmel . “You would be freaked out. This kid is such a good songwriter, and out of nowhere. We were like, ‘You’re lying. You didn’t write that,’” she said, referring to a night Kingston performed at Shelton’s bar in Aug. 2023. “It was really exciting, and it’s weird, ’cause even last night he was playing for us, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ It’s mind-blowing.”

“You don’t know what your kids are going to do, and then all of a sudden, they find themselves, and you’re like ‘Wow,’” she added.

It’s clear there is no shortage of talent in this musical family!
