Former Tennessee Titans running back Dillon Johnson has a new home. The 23-year-old has signed with the Carolina Panthers, the team announced on Wednesday.

Johnson was initially signed as an undrafted free agent earlier this year following a breakout season at the University of Washington. However, the Titans waived him to make room on the roster for the signings of center Corey Levin and linebacker Shane Ray earlier in training camp.

With the Huskies, he carried the ball 233 times for 1,195 yards (second-most in the PAC-12) and 16 touchdowns. Johnson was also utilized in the passing game, hauling in 24 receptions for 190 yards out of the backfield.

He was an early candidate to make the Titans' roster as the team's third running back behind Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears. However, that could now go to Jabari Small, who had a 30-yard scamper into the endzone in Wednesday's practice.

Johnson will now look to make the Panthers roster in a crowded running back room behind Chuba Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks, Miles Sanders, and Raheem Blackshear, among others.
