    What initially started as an outreach to serve Spanish-speaking Catholics across Middle Tennessee recently became the largest parish in the diocese.

    Iglesia Sagrado Corazón de Jesús officially became a parish in the Diocese of Nashville on July 7. More than 5,000 families call the congregation their spiritual home. It's the second fully Spanish speaking parish in Middle Tennessee.

    Antonio Figueroa, an usher at Iglesia Sagrado Corazón de Jesús for more than give years, said he feels at home at Sagrado Corazón — and so do many people from Spanish-speaking countries.
