NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nicholas Petit-Frere hit the practice field for the first time this year Saturday morning.

The Tennessee Titans right tackle told the media he’s blessed to be back after dealing with a suspension and shoulder injury last season. Even when he thought he would be back this spring, his tweaked his knee, which sidelined him during the offseason. During that time, he spent countless hours in the classroom, working to be a guy his teammates can lean on.

DeAndre Hopkins won’t require surgery for knee injury, Titans coach Brian Callahan says

For Petit-Frere, winning is his ultimate goal.

“It just kind of shows the type of place this is that’s been able to get me to where I am today, for me to be as resilient as I am today,” said Petit-Frere following Saturday’s practice. “But, then also the guy that they got, is that I’m a type of person that’s going to fight every single day to get to where I can get to. Wherever the chips may fall, you’re just going to know that whatever happens at the end of the day, I would have done my best; I would have tried my hardest; and my only goal every single time I played any sport, any time, any team, activity, whatever, is to compete to try to find a way to win.”
