Nassau County deputy killer Patrick McDowell sentenced to death
NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — The man who confessed to killing a Nassau County Sheriff's Office deputy during a traffic stop in 2021 was sentenced to death Wednesday. The judge said Patrick McDowell will remain in custody of the Nassau County Sheriff's Office until he's delivered to the Florida Dept. of Corrections where he will be placed on death row until a date is selected for his execution.
