NCPD: North Merrick Man Arrested for String of Commercial Burglaries Throughout Nassau County
The First Squad reports the arrest of a North Merrick man for an incident that occurred on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 1:25 am in North Merrick. According to Detectives, First Precinct Officers responded to Jim-Jam Cleaners, located at 1200 Merrick Avenue for an audible alarm. Upon arrival, the defendant, Jose Portillo-Sandoval, 36, of 1554 Jerusalem Avenue, was observed walking away from the location. The defendant was recognized as being responsible for previous burglaries and was detained by First Squad Detectives.
