The Third Squad reports on a Commercial Burglary that occurred on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 1:26 a.m. in Carle Place. According to Detectives, an unknown male subject forcefully entered Blooming Nails & Spa located at 104 Westbury Avenue by throwing a rock through the front glass door. The subject removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency before exiting the rear of the store and fleeing the scene on foot eastbound towards Westbury Avenue.

A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening after striking a Nassau Inter-County Express bus in Lynbrook, according to a spokesperson for the transit company. The motorcyclist collided with the rear of a NICE N25 bus which was in the left lane on Peninsula Avenue to turn south onto Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook at approximately 5:30 p.m. Friday, according to the NICE spokesperson.
