BOCES Albany students raise money for local charities
Local high school students are celebrating their efforts to provide area charities with much-needed funding. During the school year, Capital Region BOCES students on the Albany campus sold coffee and raised hundreds of dollars for different charities including Schenectady City Mission, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society and the American Heart Association.

A Bennington County man is accused of assaulting a trooper. Vermont State Police responded to a complaint of a suspicious person trespassing on a property on Route 346 in the town of Pownal on July 2 around 3:45 p.m. The property owner said the person, later identified as Leo Herbert, 20, appeared to be under the influence of a substance, according to police.
